Synopsis[]

IWHWYDEPA WJZ NDKZK ODWNA W OKIASDWP BNECDPAJEJC ZNAWI

Plot[]

Cold. Darkness. The damp, stone floor. The drops of water coming from above. A small cell with iron bars, A green girl with a unique haircut is resting. She moans, twisting and turning. Someone is shouting her name.

???: Psst… Malachite…! Yo Mal..! MAL!

Malachite wakes up rapidly, her hair everywhere, wiping dry saliva off of her mouth. Her ascot is missing. She moves her hair out of her face, only to see that she’s in a small stone cell with iron bars. Outside the cell is a stone dome, no windows. She sees Rhodochrosite, shirtless, with bruise-marks, upside down, chained from the ceiling by feet. He’s dangling. Malachite gasps.

Malachite: W-WHAT?! WHERE THE HELL ARE-AGH-HOW DID YOU-

Rhodo: SHHH!!! If you’re too loud, the beast’ll come back…!

Malachite: What beast..?!

Rhodo: Okay, lemme explain…

Malachite: This feels like a dream…!

Rhodo speaks sarcastically.

Rhodo: Okay, good! You figured that out all by yourself!

Malachite gives him a disappointing look.

Malachite: How about I shout some more so that “beast” comes back?

Rhodo: Okay, okay! I’ll explain.

There’s a gigantic hole in the wall covered by a dirty rag. Big footsteps are being heard. Malachite and Rhodo turn to the covered hole, then back at each other, a bit worried.

Malachite: You should probably make this quick..!

Rhodo: Okay, so we’re apparently sharing the same dream…!

Malachite: Yeah?...

Rhodo: Yeah, it’s weird..!

Malachite: Can you explain the BEAST you mentioned before…?!

Rhodo: Right, well you know that game I played with the storm that comes in 6 weeks and you need to “up your stats” so that you can prepare for it..?

Malachite: Oh God, here we go.

Rhodo: Well… I, uh, kinda got that secret creepy ending with the satanic music and the giant hand that grabs you and drags you into his lair where he peels off your flesh, eating it, regenerating it, and repeated that?..

Malachite: How the hell did you get THAT ending..?!

Rhodo: It’s apparently random..!

Malachite: Whelp, we’re screwed!

The footsteps get louder and louder. The shaking gets more intense with each step. Rhodo starts trying to get himself unchained. Malachite is worried. She looks around the room for a possible way to get out. Oddly enough, there seems to be a glowing yellow brick ledge on the side of the wall, high up. Malachite knows what to do.

Malachite: Rhodo..!

Rhodo: What?

Malachite: Try swinging to reach that yellow ledge..!

Rhodo: Oh, yeah yeah yeah, good idea..!

Rhodo swings forward, not getting far, then back. He continues to swing, swinging further and further with each thrust. Finally, he swings far enough to be able to reach the ledge. He grabs onto it. Somehow, the ceiling collapses, and the chains break off of his legs. He desperately tries to get onto the ledge, and succeeds. He’s standing on the ledge now, and there seems to be a yellow brick path with vines covering stone walls of the tiny semi-circled shaped hole.

Rhodo: How are you gonna get up here….?!

Malachite searches around her cell frantically as the footsteps get louder. She finally spots a black choker with a plastic yellow diamond on it. Malachite raises an eyebrow.

Malachite: Er… This wasn’t here before, was it…?

Malachite puts on the choker and, before you know it, her colors change to a familiar color scheme. The choker turns into an ascot. She looks at her grey skin and black hair that fades to red. She gulps.

Malachite: I kinda look like Spinel…! Huh, neat..!

Malachite vanishes into black dust and reappears out of black dust on the yellow brick ledge. Rhodo is surprised. He looks at her friend.

Rhodo: You, uh… You look like Spinel..!

Malachite: I do..!

Rhodo: Hm…

Malachite: What?

Rhodo: Imma call you… Spimal!

Spimal: Er.. No.

Rhodo: Whelp, the episode changed your name tag, so there’s no going back!

Spimal: Crap.

Rhodo and “Spimal” turn to the path as the footsteps get louder.

Rhodo: BETTER RUN!

Spimal: OKIE DOKES!

Spimal runs with Rhodo on the yellow brick road. The tunnel is dark and the walls are covered in vines. The shaking of the footsteps get fainter and fainter as they venture. Then it stops. It’s darkness for a while, but then there’s light at the end of the dark stone tunnel. Spimal and Rhodo get closer to it, smiling. When the exit the dark tunnel, they witness a beautiful field. Light white trees with pink leaves fill the area. There are some windmills lying around. The sky was vast with a balance of clouds and nothingness. The yellow brick road goes beyond these plains. Spimal and Rhodo are amazed.

Rhodo: Man, if only Lari shared this dream with us.

Spimal: She’d go nuts-what the Hell?

Rhodo appears to be wearing Agate’s shirt.

Rhodo: Wha-

Rhodo looks down at himself.

Rhodo: WOAH!

Spimal: How did you… What?

Rhodo: I have no idea, man.

Spimal: It doesn’t really fit you…

Rhodo shrugs. Suddenly, a small shadow is seen over a bush. The shadow gets bigger and bigger, but still appears to be somewhat small. A scream is heard from above, and gets louder as time goes by. Then, a cloud is created over the bush. A blue child bounces from the cloud and onto the yellow brick road. The cloud disappears. Spimal and Rhodo take a step back in surprise. The boy looks like Idocrase, but in Apatite’s color scheme.

Apido: Hi there! I’m Apido!

Spimal: Apiwhat.

Apido: Apido! I’m Idocrase, but also Apatite!

Rhodo: So.. Like a fusion?

Apido: No! Apido!

Spimal: Er…. Okay?

Apido: And I was sent here to give you an important message..

Apido bows down and lays out his hand. He’s holding a scroll. Spimal, unsure, grabs it. Spimal looks at Rhodo, pretty confused, Rhodo shrugging in response. They both look at the scroll as it opens. It reads…

Spimal & Rhodo: “Follow the yellow brick road.”...?

Suddenly, an uproar of trumpets and music bursts from the heavens. Spimal shrieks. Rhodo lets out an inhuman sound as a result from the sudden music. Suddenly, thousands of Apidos bursts out of the ground, out of the trees, and from the skies start singing.

Apidos: FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD! FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD!

Spimal: AGH!

Spimal and Rhodo start running on the yellow brick road. A giant spirit descends from the sky. It seems to be a gigantic Moonstone with wings. She looks angry.

Moonstone: SIIIIIING!

Spimal and Rhodo start singing terribly from fear.

Spimal:  WE’RE OFF TO SEE THE WIZARD!

Rhodo: THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF DAWN!

Spimal: WE HEAR THAT SHE’S A WHIZ OF A WIZ, IF EVER A WIZ THERE WAS!

Rhodo: IF EVER, OH EVER A WIZ THERE WAS, THE WIZARD OF DAWN IS ON!

Apidos: BECAUSE, BECAUSE, BECAUSE, BECAUSE, BECAAAAAUSE!

Then, Moonstone lets out a beautiful, majestic voice.

Moon: Because of the wonderful things she does!

Suddenly, the plains are silent. The Apidos shatter like glass and disappear. Moonstone returns back to her original size and falls onto the yellow brick road. Her wings disappear. She coughs a bit.

Rhodo: Uh… What the actual HELL just happened?..!

Spimal: We were in a musical number, that’s what.

Moonstone continues to cough, turning grayer and grayer with each cough. Eventually, she turns to stone. Spimal and Rhodo just watch her with poker faces. All of a sudden, the statue starts flying, still following the path.

Spimal: WAIT, WHAT.

Rhodo: WE GOTTA FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD, MAL!

Spimal: WHY?!

Rhodo: BECAUSE THE SONG SAAAAAID!

Spimal: OH RIGHT.

Spimal and Rhodo start running, following the yellow brick road. It feels so fast, the clouds moving with them, the trees and windmills passing before them. It’s really peaceful. Then, they reach the ocean. The statue fades out of existence. They’re on a steep cliff with the view of the never ending sea. Suddenly, a girl floats from the sea and floats in front of Spimal and Rhodo. It’s Larimar.

Larimar: Oh, h-hi.

Larimar steps on the cliff. Spimal and Rhodo smile.

Spimal: Hey, Lari!

Rhodo: Hi!

Larimar brings up a random topic.

Larimar: I have a fascination with monkeys. I-I don’t know why, but I find them, er, interesting.

Rhodo: Maybe it’s because you’re dating one in another dimension?

Lari: That could be it.

Spimal: What are you doing here, Larimar?

Lari: Well, I just g-got back from-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

A giant rock falls onto Larimar, crushing her.

Spimal: Wait, WHAT.

Rhodo: This dream is making NO sense.

Spimal: Don’t all dreams make NO sense?

Rhodo: Oh, right.

Suddenly, stairs appear, leading into the ocean. There’s now a wooden mahogany door in the water. Rhodo and Spimal shrug, walking down the wooden staircase. They open the wooden door and are taken to a purple room filled with technology. The room seems to be heavily damaged. There’s screaming heard from afar and alarms going off.

Rhodo: WOAH, WHAT’S HAPPENING?!

Spimal: NO CLUE!

Suddenly, a green girl, a blue girl, and a magenta colored person, and a grey girl run passed them quickly, all of them wearing Homeworld uniforms, but debris falls from the ceiling, falling on the grey girl. She desperately tries to escape, her assumed friends trying to assist her, but there’s no hope. She poofs and her gems is crushed. Rhodo and Spimal are scared. The run back inside the wooden door and are taken to a black room.

Rhodo: It’s dark in here…

Then a flash of light appears on one wall. It’s a video. It shows Rhodo and Malachite at the plains they were just at. They’re both sitting on white benches, Rhodo looking down, depressed. Malachite is sitting next to him, crossing her arms with an angry expression. She seems to be mad at him. Spimal and Rhodo, watching the video, were confused. They looked at each other.

Rhodo: What… IS this..?

Spimal: It’s just a dream, Rhodo… I don’t think it’s really supposed to make sense..

Rhodo: It feels so real, though…

They both sound a bit weaker and sincere.

Spimal: I… Guess so..

Spimal looks at the video, then back at Rhodo in despair.

Spimal: Why am I mad at you in that video?... I’d never get mad at you…

Rhodo: Let’s… Not think about it too much, alright?.

Spimal: That sounds good..

Suddenly, the video starts burning up. The room starts getting smaller and smaller. Spimal and Rhodo hug each other. The video’s audio starts becoming distorted and the room flashes red every once in awhile.

Rhodo wakes up, jumping from the couch.

Rhodo: WE’RE ALL GONNA DIEEEE!

Malachite wakes up as well. She was sleeping on the kitchen counter. She sits up straight as fast as a firework.

Malachite: RHODO THE ROOM’S GETTING-

They stop when they realize that they’re awake. They both look terrible. Malachite’s hair is in her face and her eyepatch isn’t fully covering her gem. Rhodo’s arm isn’t in one of the sleeves of his hoodie and his hair is messy. They both look at each other, then at an open cabinet. There appears to be a neon turquoise drink inside. Two small shot glasses barely contained with the liquid are seen next to Rhodo and Malachite. They look back at each other.

Rhodo: What the hell.
